What is a Flip Valve?
A flip valve is a specially designed valve that you can turn to control whether air flows in or out of the sleeping pad. Unlike traditional valves, the flip valve works intuitively by rotating between inlet and outlet .
How does a flip valve work?
The flip valve has two positions:
Inflate (Inlet position)
When the valve is in the inflation position, it only lets air in. This will cause the sleeping mat to quickly fill itself
Empty (Exhaust position)
By turning the valve, you activate the exhaust mode. This allows the air to escape unhindered and more importantly, no more air can flow into the mat, which makes the sleeping mat deflate quickly and easily.
The big advantage of a sleeping mat is that you can determine the hardness yourself. If you want the mat to be a bit harder, you can add air by using a foam pump, a pump bag or the very handy rechargeable pump with which you can also quickly empty a sleeping mat.
